The benefits of exercise on your health and skin

Being active and healthy takes and needs attention.

Undertaking and planning the exercises, that attention needs to be understood as to what is required to combine all elements.

Whether you source the information yourself or seek guidance and advice, it is important to know that there are a few factors that are required to complete what will be essentially your very own tailor made active and healthy lifestyle.

The following factors:

  • An adequate eating plan suited around your schedule and lifestyle
  • Planning and understanding what exercises you are going to do
  • Implementing an essential skincare routine

For your tailor-made fitness regime to be successful, not only do you have to succeed from working within but supporting it by building and sustaining a good immune system. This can be achieved by looking at nutrition closely.

Fitness has always focussed heavily on the outward physical appearance, what is not is covered is the skincare regime.

Exercising with make-up on can lead to clogged pores which can lead to acne. For this reason, it is recommended that you don’t wear make-up whilst exercising.

When you exercise it increases the blood flow to the skin which helps to nourish the cells.

Why does my skin glow after exercise?

“When you work out, your blood is pumping more, which improves the circulation of oxygen and nutrients throughout your body, including your skin and ultimately leads to that post-workout glow,” dermatologist Yoon-Soo Cindy Bae, M.D., tells SELF. The effects last about an hour.

It is crucial that a good skincare routine is maintained in eliminating residue on the skin due to build-up of sweat or outdoor pollution.   If not properly addressed it can cause skin irritations, it is also crucial to utilise a good moisturizer and to adapt accordingly to the seasons.

In essence exercise, nutrition and skincare adherence are a way of life.
