Health Benefits of Zinc

Zinc is an essential mineral that plays a vital role in maintaining the health of our skin (which is the largest organ). It has anti-inflammatory properties. Zinc is excellent in healing wounds and skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne and many more.  

Not only is zinc beneficial to the skin it also boosts the immune system which improves energy levels and it helps to make new cells for the body.

There are foods which contain zinc that can be added in our diet and this can vary from person to person. Here are some examples: beans, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, shellfish, eggs, red meat, oysters, nuts, oatmeal, beetroot and zinc fortified cereals.
